South Coast Adventure Private Tour

The breathtaking south coast of Iceland is waiting for you. After we leave Reykjavík, our first stop is Seljalandsfoss, a stunning waterfall where visitors can walk behind the cascading water and feel the mist on their face.

Next, we'll visit Skógafoss, another impressive and well known waterfall with a 60 meters drop that creates stunning rainbows during sunny days.

After that, we'll head to the Black Sand Beach, where you can walk on the black volcanic sand and admire its basalt columns, caves, and Reynisdrangar, that are basalt sea stacks that rise from the ocean just off the shore.

The highlight of the tour will be at Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier where we'll be guiding you on a glacier hiking and ice climbing experience. Our experienced guide will take you on a journey through the beautiful and otherworldly landscapes of the glacier while teaching you about its geology and history.

This tour offers a great combination of natural beauty, adventure, and education.

Important information

For a South Coast Adventure tour, it would be a good idea for travellers to bring a small backpack to carry essentials such as a camera, extra layers of clothing, gloves, snacks and drinks. Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots would also be recommended. Additionally, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or other head covering can be useful to protect from the sun. A rain jacket or poncho may also be useful during the waterfall sightseeing or in case of inclement weather. It's also recommended to bring a refillable water bottle as well as a power bank or extra battery for electronic devices.

For the glacier activity it’s mandatory to have solid boots with ankle support, in this way crampons will fit and your ankle is less exposed to injuries. Please contact us before buying anything that might fit this description, we are more than happy to assist you during the choice of your adventure equipment.

Rental is also available by the glacier!

It’s extremely important to bring your packed lunch, there is not enough time to stop in a restaurant; we’ll eat on the go. We suggest you buy it the day before, grocery stores and Supermarkets have always great options. There are also few places where to buy food along the road.
